Red Panda
Original Work by Claire Milligan
This painting was created to raise awareness and funds for the Born Free Foundation and pays homage to the beautiful red pandas which are sadly listed by the IUCN as endangered. With less than 10,000 left in the wild the Red Panda is faced with an alarming list of threats: poaching, habitat loss, degradation, disease, natural disasters and climate change. Red Pandas are also often caught by traps meant for other animals as well as poached for their beautiful red fur to make fur hats. I hope this painting helps to raise awareness of the increasing threats that these animals face.
